Why I Published My First Book

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀...

On the one hand it was an exciting future that gave me the ability to help others, do what I love and earn enough money to build a life lived on my own terms.

On the other hand, it scared me to my core…

A completely new industry, I had no idea how to build a coaching business and I had no income to fall back on, it was like 1000 tons of stress on top of the already difficult relationship breakup I was going through.

I watched endless videos on YouTube trying to learn more about building a coaching business…

I hired venues, showed up on social media, somehow managed to get a handful of people to show up to my events, struggled to make any money, felt like a failure and then repeated the process but making minor tweaks each time…

I would hire marketing agencies, spend multiple tens of thousands and fly to different parts of the country only to have two people show up to my trainings…

I was invited to speak in front of over 1000 people and completely blew it…

The embarrassment and feeling like a failure was so consistent I started to believe it…

One time I was running a pivotal event in New Zealand and had to sleep on the floor in a caravan while the owner had a party outside and I got no sleep…

I was so tired and worn out that on the plane ride back to Australia my nose was literally running like a tap…

𝗜𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲…

I questioned quitting almost daily but didn’t because I couldn’t bare the though of working in a ‘normal’ job…

Little by little, with excruciating slowness I began to discover what worked and what didn’t…

I had mini realisations around how to structure my events and trainings for a better affect…

I used what little money I was making to invest in mentorships, to buy books and courses on social media, marketing, branding, sales and public speaking…

The extremely slow progress coupled with immense fear and doubt led to a feeling of uncertainty that remained at a constant high.

These feelings continued for another few years until one day it suddenly dawned upon me.

I’d run trainings in different countries around the world...

I’d been mentored by living legends...

I’d spoken in front of 10,000+ people...

I’d supported people through their toughest times and run events where I’d walk people across burning hot coals...

I’d spoken at events alongside my heroes like Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Dr John Demartini and many others...

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗜’𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳…

Through a lot of painful experiences, sleepless nights and raging anxiety I had discovered the skills and strategies needed to build a successful coaching business!

So at the end of 2021 I decided to document a powerful, reverse engineered, step-by-step formula that any coach could use.

Highlighting only the most important skills and strategies needed, whilst minimising costs, maximising efficiency (financial and physical) and allowing new coaches to avoid stress and failure by sidestepping all of the common pitfalls.

I wrote this book (my first published book) because I have too much experience not to share with people that would find it immensely valuable. The book is called The Thriving Coach - 5 Essential Pillars & Strategies for Building a Successful Coaching Business. It will be published on June 27th 2022 and if you want to grab a free copy you can go through the link below!
